Good Week

This has been an eventful week for two reasons:

1) Nathan took his first shot of Enbrel! Hooray!!! He hasn't had any pain pills since he took it and he is feeling great.  It seriously is a miracle drug! I suppose I should mention that, technically, it was me that gave Nathan his shot.  He sat there for about an hour and a half holding the pen on his leg, too afraid to push the button.  Thankfully he has a mean wife who doesn't mind causing him pain (mwahahaha).  Next time I'm sure he'll do better.  Now we just have to qualify for assistance since the drug costs $500.00 a week.

2) The second reason this has been an eventful week is that I got a job, hooray again!  I will be working the front desk at the rec center.  I start Wednesday as soon as my background check is processed (I'm crossing my fingers on that one).

Anniversary

For our Anniversary (December 11) Nathan surprised me with tickets to visit Joseph and Lauren in Arizona and, while we were there, tickets to WICKED!!!!  It was such a great surprise! We had a lot of fun with Joseph, Lauren, and the kids.  We stayed up late to play bid, went to In N' Out Burger, went to Pei Wei for dinner before the show, and went to the show.  I'm lucky to have such a great husband!

Study Time

I've been studying in the library at the institute all morning and there have been five people that have opened the door, saw me, halted mid-step, turned around and left.  I don't get it, does my makeup look weird or something?  As Alaric would say, "Oh well".

Kevin and Mary's Reception

The week of Kevin and Mary's reception in Laramie was a lot of fun. We got to hang out watching movies and bowling with Kevin and Mary. It was really nice to spend that time with them since we don't get to see them very much. Again at the reception we got to see and hang out with a lot of the family. The time we've spent with family over this break has seriously been priceless! Being a part of such a hilarious, fun family is amazing. Oh, and I can't forget to say that Nathan's client from the ARK, Kenny, was at the reception. He offered Kevin and Mary some very important marriage advice: "If someone knocks on your door in the middle of the night you open the door and tell them, no solicitors".

Christmas 2010

We had an amazing Christmas this year! Nathan and I had our own little celebration at our apartment in Laramie a week before Christmas. We had pizza and sparkling cider and then opened up the presents under our little tree. The next day we made the LONG (8 hour!) frozen trip to Evanston. My family is so much fun! We took gifts around town for my mom with all of my brothers, we went shopping in Utah as a family, read the Christmas story on Christmas eve, and got up pretty early to get our stockings and open Christmas presents. On Sunday Nathan sang in my parent's ward and he sounded AMAZING! Overall, this was one of the best Christmases I have ever had!
