New Coffee Table

We had to buy a new coffee table, this is why:

Crisis averted...

When the playstation controller runs out of battery we have to plug it in to the console. Well, the cord can't reach the couch from the entertainment center so Nathan usually sits on the coffee table while playing his game to charge the controller. Oops. We made sure our new coffee table is nice and sturdy.

Must Be a Monday

Today I went with Nathan to get his license renewed at the DMV. First we stopped at the ATM to get cash for the new license. Then, after filling out the paperwork and sitting in line for about fifteen minutes Nathan checked his license and realized it doesn't expire until October 2, 2013. Also he left his debit card in the ATM. Not his smartest day ever haha. Hopefully he gets his brains back before school starts next week.

Family Reunion

Last weekend we went to a family reunion in Park City, UT. We stayed at a really beautiful resort up on the mountain. Each family had an apartment to themselves, ours was a four bedroom, four bathroom apartment... it was GORGEOUS! We had a really good time with my immediate and extended family. Sunday we all went back to Evanston and heard my brother give his "homecoming" talk in church. The only downside to the weekend was that Nathan's knee swelled up to about the size of a grapefruit. It swelled up for no apparent reason and was causing him extreme pain, luckily my parents had an old pair of crutches that he was able to use. My parents were nice enough to let us sleep in the master bedroom since Nathan couldn't really use the stairs. My poor eighty year old husband.

Family Weekend

Last weekend my family came up to see Nathan and I in Laramie. We did a lot of fun stuff while they were here. We went "cliff" jumping/swimming with Cassidee and her friend, we went bowling (shockingly I was the winner!), and we had dinner and a game night at the Shumway's house. Also, I got to see my brother Kevin who is just off his mission.

I'm so grateful for the Shumway's! Without them it would have been much harder/impossible to have my family here for the weekend. Not only did they feed and play games with my family, they let half of them sleep at their house!

I'm also grateful that Nathan comes from a large family... anyone else might have been a little overwhelmed hanging out with ten people in a tiny apartment.

And I'm grateful for my family and how wonderful they are, it was fun having them and we miss them!
