Sneak Thieves and Tendon Tears

Well, we have definitely had an interesting week. We went to Cheyenne Wednesday to stay the night with Sam and Kim. Apparently we forgot to lock the car and during the night someone took advantage of our stupidity and stole from us. Among the stolen items were Nathan's touch Ipod (with over 800 songs on it, that were NOT backed up on any computer), the cord to connect the Ipod to the car stereo, Nathan's sunglasses, an old switchblade that belonged to Kevin, and nearly every penny of change (they left us a dime). That is all that we know of that is definitely missing. They did leave all of our trash in the car, which is pretty rude. If you are going to steal out of someone's car I think you should at least have the decency to clean it out for them. Nathan was pretty calm when we realized what happened...I cried for a good half hour. Now Nathan is suggesting that we buy an Ipad. Part of me wonders if he staged this little bit of thievery so we would have an excuse to get an Ipad, hmmm.... Anyway, other than that we had a really good time in Cheyenne. We got to see Sam, Kim, and their kids for a bit. We also went out for delicious chinese food (which is hard to come by) with Sam, Kim, John, and a couple of the kids.
Today Nathan had a doctors appointment to get his foot x-rayed. There are no fractures or breaks, but we found out that it is probably a partial tear in the tendon on his foot. He has to wear one of those gorgeous boots to keep his foot at a ninety degree angle for at least a month. I really hope the boot helps with his foot pain.
Anyway, I really hope the rest of this week is less eventful!

Amazing Arizona!

We just got back from our trip to Arizona and it was AMAZING! We had a great time hanging out with Joseph, Lauren and the kids. This was the first time I've gotten to hang out with any of them and I loved it. I'm very grateful that I can be part of such a great family. We couldn't get enough of baby Claire, it definitely makes us want to have a baby...but I suppose we'll have to wait a little while. It was also wonderful being in the beautiful Arizona weather. Unfortunately we had to come back to the frozen tundra of Laramie. Hopefully summer reaches this area of the world soon. Our trip to Arizona may have been dangerous for us since now all we want to do is start having babies and quit school so we can move somewhere warm...maybe not the best combination.

Dummy Goat

We've been having what we call "Dummy Goat" moments over the last couple days. Last night we bought some 12 packs of pop, and while bringing them in the house, one of the boxes opened up and spilled cans of pop everywhere. I think of the 12 cans, we saved 2. It made for a cool display though. Then, this morning we went grocery shopping and forgot to bring the list. We were confident we could remember what was on it so we went without it. Upon getting home we found we had forgotten to buy every item on the list except one: Manwich. Not only that, but Heather, thinking she was opening a can of chili for lunch opened our only can of Manwich, thus rendering our shopping trip a total waste. Good times
